Yoga Store
There are loads of ‘Learn Yoga’ books out there. Some might say too many. But there are also some extremely good yoga texts which are invaluable. I have quite a few yoga books on my shelves – mostly reference books that I refer back to again and again.
Here are 4 books that I return to quite often. They’re well written, aimed at the beginner, but still cover enough ground to be useful after years of yoga practice. They’re all reasonably priced, and I think, will come to be money well spent.
And while there might be loads of yoga books – there are absolutely tonnes of yoga DVDs. Yoga for weight loss, yoga for pregnancy, yoga for this, and yoga for that. It’s a bit crazy. Where do you start?
Well, I’ve seen more yoga DVDs than I can count. And if you are a true beginner, I would recommend one and only one. It’s this:
This DVD covers a lot, but it is still mostly for beginners. With 35 different routines, you’re not going to be bored with it after the first few runs through (very important!) And it’s not aimed at those with back pain, those chasing amazing core strength in one magic exercise. It’s a good, solid, beginning for people who want to learn yoga at home. And that’s you, right?
